From Our Correspondent
O Hindus, let's protest lawfully against Doordarshan which is trying to stop Hindu devotees to enter Shri Prasannanjaneya Temple !
Kondapally (Viajayawada, Andhra Pradesh): This is not a news of one week or a month, this is a news about restless struggle of local Hindus from more than six months, just to reopen their Prasannanjaneya Swamy Temple from the hands of Dooordarshan (Govt).
Kondapally Prasannanjaneya Swamy Temple is placed on top of a hill near Vijayawada city. The real issue starts when the Doordarshan decides to build a TV Tower on top of that hill close to the temple. Doordarshan officials with no difficulty built a TV Tower last year. Later they started to complaint about temple visiting devotees that they are threat to the security of the TV Tower. Saying that they built a compound around the tower.

But the Doordarshan Station Engineer blindly said that the temple’s structure is unauthorisedly developed. Then the Doordarshan officials quickly decided to lock the temple premisis and since then devotees are not led to go to the temple.
A Hindi proverb says, ‘’Ulta Chor Kotwal Ko Daante’’ means – The theif himself abusing the owner. Here, Prasannanjaneya Swamy Temple is older than Doordarshan, even though the government with no hesitation decided to lock the temple.
To protest this, several Hindu organisations and Hindu monks staged protest and urged the government to unlock the temple premises. The news has been published in many newspapers also, but no action has been taken even now.
It seams that the Govt cannot hear the voices of Hindus. It can only hear anti socialists who always try to destroy temples and holy places.
Many Hindus are eagerly waiting to see the unlocked temple and worship their as earlier. Join us and support them.
